Search engines are not very forthcoming when it comes to their ranking algorithms, especially when it concerns search engine optimization (SEO). We don’t blame them because true knowledge of ranking algorithm will leave it open to abuse. However, search engines willing shared tidbits via fairly implicit guidelines, which often raised more questions than they answered.
The search engine optimization started guide by Google marked a significant change in how it shared information with webmasters and online community as a whole. Continuing with the trend, Galen Panger from the Google for non-profits team gave a presentation on “Moving up in natural search” in a recent training session held at their D.C. office.
The presentation certainly makes it easier to comprehend the concept of Search Engine Optimization, for those who have an idea of SEOs and, also for those who aren’t really acquainted with it.

Microsoft has also introduced some guidelines for SEO at Bing to get higher organic search engine rankings.
You’re right as they don’t let people know what their algorithms are, but the good news is that they are trying to please human readers in a natural way, meaning providing quality content.
