Musings 2007
As an Online Marketing firm, it is incumbent upon us to provide an insight on the tools of Online Marketing to our clients. With this ideology, we initiated our newsletter campaign in April 2007. The feedback received through our newsletters has helped us develop a perspective on the needs of the clients, though their feedback. It has also been instrumental in developing a loyal subscriber base. It has always been our endeavor to keep you abreast with the latest on the SEM front and help you in achieving your Online Marketing objectives. During the course of the year we discussed all the relevant issues that influence the commercial efficacy of a web based business. We embarked on the newsletter journey with a brief on the comparative analysis of the two basic forms of Search Engine Marketing, the organic and the inorganic search. The subsequent newsletters were dedicated to discuss the constituents of the preferred medium. As Link Building forms a significant portion of any organic campaign, we highlighted the challenges to link building that are encountered while attracting the desired audience. This was followed by a compilation of guidelines to employ to target the correct link page, to reap the real benefits of link building. On the PPC (Inorganic Search) front, we attempted to provide a perspective on how to generate significant ROI from the Online Marketing budget, by broad basing and selecting the appropriate paid search engines. This was supported by more information on the steps to effective keyword selection and bidding, to facilitate rich dividends from paid search campaign. We also discussed the social search engines and how these could be incorporated into a comprehensive Online Marketing strategy. While all this strategizing is mandated to attract the customers to the desired web page, it would all be futile if the visitor does not perform the desired action. Identifying this need, we dedicated two newsletters to discuss the considerations for developing an effective landing page. These points were intended to provide an overview of the necessary guidelines to ensure higher conversions. As this year draws to a close and we look forward to the next year, we are sanguine about the future of the virtual world. In our crusade of providing you with relevant information we would keep our ears glued to the ground and to keep you posted on all the developments in the Online Marketing world. |
